FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • WHAT IS MITTEN MIXED?
    We are a mobile bar, bartending service, and event décor rental service. Our trailer is a converted 1976 horse trailer that is sure to bring something unique to any celebration. We also provide bartending services at your venue and have a wide variety of rentals as well that would be perfect for customizing any space and make it look picture perfect!
  • WHAT KIND OF EVENTS CAN I RENT MITTEN MIXED FOR?
    We really can be used for anything and everything! Weddings, rehearsals, wedding showers, baby showers, graduations, BBQs, bachelorette/bachelor parties, holiday parties, product launches, retirement parties, family reunions, corporate or work events, brunches, fundraisers, and so much more. Host at a venue, in your backyard, or even host at your work space and we will be there!
  • WHAT IS INCLUDED IN YOUR PACKAGES?
    Based on the type of event you are having, our pricing guides will explain all details thoroughly and layout what is included. However, most include 2 TIPS certified bartenders, disposable drinkware, napkins, straws, custom menu, etc.. Some packages also include the garnishes and mixers for your drinks. If your venue provides specific glassware that you would like to use, or if you have some of your own, we will be happy to serve what is provided to us. Reach out to us to receive our pricing guides. The mobile bar is equipped with basic décor, however have something specific in mind? Visit our Rental Shop page for additional décor or we can use any décor that you provide to us.
  • HOW FAR DO YOU TRAVEL?
    The first 30 miles away from 48072 is included in our standard pricings. However we do provide services all around Michigan. Each mile after the 30 mile mark will be an additional $2/mile. Please send us a message if you have any questions regarding this or if you would like a quote.
  • WILL YOUR MOBILE BAR FIT IN OUR VENUE?
    Our beautifully mauve colored, fully renovated trailer measures at 12ft long, 8ft 2in tall, and 7ft wide. It does also have a wood serving window that extends out a bit further so when opened the space will need to accommodate that. Because it is on the small side, we can fit almost anywhere, however, we will need enough clearance to drive up to the location with the tow vehicle, and we will also need clearance to pull away the tow vehicle once the trailer is disconnected. The serving window is located on the passenger side of the tow vehicle. For help determining if it will fit in your event space, send us a picture of your event space, we can potentially visit the space ahead of time ourselves, or reach out to us!
  • WHAT DOES THE MOBILE BAR REQUIRE FOR SETUP?
    All we need is flat ground and a standard outlet to plug int the trailer. We'll provide our own extension cords. We do also provide a generator if needed at no additional cost. A hose hook up is preferred if possible for sink to fill up for water, although other options are available.
  • DO YOU PROVIDE THE ALCOHOL?
    The state of Michigan does not allow us to purchase and provide the booze ourselves.. We have certified bartenders that will be able to assist the duration of the event. While we cannot purchase it, we will work with you to help you decide on a custom menu that is right for your event. We will also help decide how much you should purchase based on your guest count and the drinks being served. Yourself or the venue host will need to purchase the alcohol that is being served.
  • HOW DO WE KNOW WHAT ALCOHOL TO PURCHASE?
    When we have our sit down consultation, we will ask for an estimated guest count for your event. Based on that count and the drink choices/package that you have selected, we estimate the total alcohol needed. This is just an estimate and we will give you an approximate cost along with provide you with a personalized shopping list.
  • WHAT SIZE KEGS CAN THE KEGERATOR HOLD IN THE MOBILE BAR? WHAT ABOUT BOTTLED OR CANNED DRINKS?
    We do have a kegerator provided in the trailer! The dual tap kegerator has 2 tap handles. It can hold one full size (15.5 gallons), one straight pony (7.75 gallons), one quarter slim (7.75 gallons) and two 1/6th slim (5 gallons). If you choose bottled or canned beverages (or wine that needs to be chilled), we will use our kegerator space, mini fridge, as well as our wine cooler to keep your alcohol cold throughout the entire event! We have 1 kegerator, 1 mini fridge, and 1 wine cooler. Large tin buckets and coolers can also be provided.
  • WHAT IF WE RUN OUT OF BOOZE?
    We will try our best to give you an accurate estimate to purchase during your consult, but since you are purchasing the alcohol, if you run out, it will be up to you to provide more. Any alcohol, beer, or wine that is not used during the event will be returned.
  • ARE YOU LICENSED AND INSURED?
    We hold Liquor Liability and General Liability Insurance.
  • WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICIES?
    We do require a signed contract and a non-refundable 50% deposit is due upon booking and the remainder is due on the date of the event, prior to service. By signing, you are agreeing to that date and time, and we are committing to provide the services. That date will then be turned down to other potential clients and events.
  • WHICH PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?
    Mitten Mixed accepts cash, debit card, check, Venmo, or all major credit cards (3% service fee for credit cards).
